Happy Cinco De Mayo! I’ve been on the hunt for a fabulous set of athletic wear that I could also lounge in. Well girl the jackpot has arrived and I don’t ever want to wear anything else. Yes, there are plenty of athleisure wear sets but they either have long sleeves, pants or are not as comfortable as they look. Look sis I’m about to wash my puppies in this, run errands then Netflix and chill. Shoot if my children were in school then I would have dropped and picked them up in this, too. I wanted something that I can wear on the treadmill, snuggle wrapped up with a blanket or run out in the heat. It’s 76 degrees today and I decided to take this beauty for a stroll to the mailbox. It is soft, stretchy, comes in a total of four colors and has a ribbed texture to the outside not inside.

When you wake up and don’t know what to wear on a whim and want to look cute then this is it. I had to do my favorite number and drop it like it was hot. This beauty stayed right in place and I was shook. Your booty will basically thank you for snagging this piece. The top is not padded but you can add nipple covers or a sticky bra. Hey girl, Monday snuck up fast. Let’s talk about where your mind is at the night before. Whether you’re an essential, have a zoom meeting or a doctor’s appointment you need to take your child to, do you plan your outfit the night before? I touched on this a few blogs before this and I know you might be one to plan ahead. I’m curious if this is the best route for you or if you hit a speed bump because you’re not feeling it the next morning.

As you may know I fit my outfit the day of by my mood. I decided to give a swing at what I am about to recommend to you. I picked two outfits and styled them from the footwear to jewelry. You know two outfit choices are better than one.  I leaned toward styling a casual outfit to an outfit with a little umph to it. I walked into my closet and chose from two outfits that were close to my everyday mood. I can say this was a breeze and I’d highly recommend it. However, make sure you stay true to you. Pick outfits that you know will not make you second guess your choice. That will certainly defeat the purpose and make you late. Take your time while you style and if you can go a step further try everything on.

Happy Saturday girl! I hope the weather is warm and the sun is vibrant where you are. I started thinking about all the possibilities that go into your outfit selection. I know that time could pose as a real outfit blocker. Maybe you woke up late for work or you’re simply not in the mood to spend more time in your closet. That’s where closet staples will come into play for your outfit. These are pieces that I highly would recommend to have for those days or any day. Today, I wanted to be in and out of my closet and I wanted something simple. It took me under 5 minutes to think and grab what I needed.

 

Now look you don’t need to think too far deep and freak out about a staple must-have. Classic, basic and simple pieces are a big help to have in your closet. I always make sure to have solid color bodysuits, tees, denim jackets, lace tanks, blazers and basic dresses. You don’t need to purchase them all at once and don’t overwhelm yourself. Remember to style before you buy and think about what you would grab first from this list to wear. That is what your focus can stay on as you shop. You cannot go wrong with any of these pieces especially when your time is limited. I like to call them a forgiving staple because you don’t even need to add layers. My outfit today was effortless with a bodysuit and comfortable mom jeans. I threw on leopard sneakers and a pair of hot pink lip earrings. I love dressy tops because I find their material to be lightweight, and comfortable. I mean comfort is key along with looking cute, right? I’m sure some lingerie comes in the same exact material. I think we often have allowed society to put a label on how certain pieces of clothes should be styled. This top is flowy and is so beautiful with a girly ruffle detail. I immediately reached for a light and dark mom jean and skinny jean with a fun raw hem. I immediately loved the skinny jean because it did not take attention away from my top. It acted as an accent to my top and helped bring it out more. Since I dressed this top down I wanted to add a fun flare finish to my outfit. I couldn’t help but think this top needed a print to compliment it. The leopard platforms brought the umph factor it was needing to dress it down yet look well put together. I could see cute leopard sneakers with this style too. I did not want to put any jewelry on but you could add a small dainty necklace. Don’t be nervous to explore and try different combinations. Don’t forget your fashion tape if you have a top like mine. Love what you wear because as always your confidence makes the outfit not the other way around.

Happy almost Friday girl! I am going to keep it short and sweet today and not take up most of your time. Do you steer away from all things with a pattern? I tend to look at camo as a neutral and yes I said a neutral. The possibilities are endless when styling and it will match every color.

Since I style my outfits by my mood I wanted something relaxed but will give me a pep in my step. I did want to keep this inspo simple for you to find similar items. I walked into my closet with an idea of what I was aiming for. However, once I put on these white stretch mom jeans I spotted a really cute tank. Remember when I said pick the first piece that catches your eye and to try it on? That is exactly what I did and this outfit came together. Can I rave about the chic simplicity of this tank(wearing a small) for a few seconds? It has scalloped detailing all around the neckline and bottom. It is lightweight, form fitting and has stretch to it. It is affordable and the perfect top to transition from day to night. I take that as a win and this top is only $26.

Typically you will catch me with a cardigan or jean jacket on at some point in the day. I saw the camo jacket calling my name and it was a done deal. I added gold accessories to compliment my jacket. Sometimes a simple addition like camo can add a little umph to your outfit. These jeans are extremely comfortable, stretchy and have the best relaxed fit(wearing a size 1). Eleanor Dress:

This dress is cute and great for teachers, church, a baby shower and wedding. The waist of this dress is cinched to accentuate your shape and to accessorize I put a belt on. Since I added a belt the dress stops right above me knees(I am 5’4″) I found it to have double lining except for the balloon sleeves which have a cute ruffle at the cuffing. The material is light and breathable for the warmer weather. It’s comfortable and passed the test of good length when I raised my arms up. It has a button key hole in the back and bra friendly. I decided to go with a sticky bra. This dress size ranges from small to large.

Caleigh Top:

This cute top does have a slight crop and your stomach could easily be covered with a mid or high rise bottom. This top does come in gray with sizes ranging from small to large. This particular color is available in the size large. It’s similar to a linen like material and breathable. It has a surplice front with a functional button which is great for breastfeeding. You can also showcase a cute bralette if you wanted to undo the button. It is not opaque so if you keep the button closed stick to your nude bra. The length stops at about my elbows and is not restricting.

Abby Shorts:

They are so soft and comfortable that I need this material made into pajamas. I cannot get enough of the ruffle detailing on the bottom. They are so cute, double lined and have a removable belt that is the same material as the shorts. A great style idea would be replacing the belt it comes with. I am 5’4″ and it stops about one inch above my finger tips.

Brynn dress:

Oh my goodness this dress is my favorite I did not want to take it off. Can we say honeymoon, destination vacation, wedding guest and attending a baby shower dress? It has a good amount of stretch and the straps are adjustable. The gathered ruched detail on the side is extremely figure flattering with an asymmetrical finish. It’s very easy to style this dress up or down. The top is not padded but you can put on nipple covers. This dress is an appropriate length and passed the finger tip length for me(5’4″). Just to let you know, I’m still swooning over the style of this dress and color. It’s comfortable and you can slip this beauty on by the zipper in the back and secure with the hook. It does still come in sizes small to large.

Sandee dress:

You need to see this beauty in person because it is stunning. Between the floral pattern to color palette. Instant happy mood and ready to go somewhere beautiful strutting in this. It is cinched in the middle of the back. Let me just say it does the booty a real good justice sis. There are non functioning buttons on the front with an attached belt. Once tied, it gives the beautiful illusion it’s a front knot top with with a high rise skirt underneath. The front slit gives you sex appeal without having to reveal anything. The very bottom of the bell sleeves have a slit and faux buttons. The material is not heavy and breathable but stick to your nude undergarments. It is flowy and I found it to not restrict me as I walked around.

Now it’s very rude that the weekend flew by and it’s already Monday. Do you have those one pair of jeans that are rather difficult to style?
