Okay girl first things first, I made my two shots of espresso and put on my gangsta rap because ya know I’m a good mom with a hood playlist. Lol I have a shirt that says it and wore it a few months ago to my grocery pick up and I had my Sirius AM on station 44. You can’t tell me anything when I’m vibing and in a whole mood. Years ago I would lay my clothes out the night before. I found that to be a problem because I could be in a mood to wear something laid back. Then as I got ready the next morning I would find myself in the complete opposite mood. Ready to wear heels, kill it that day and make my husband do a double take. He’s in Japan still so none of the neck breaking is happening right now lol military spouse problems.
I squashed that routine and found that when I don’t put pressure on myself for the most perfect outfit. Pairing pieces together become less complicated and fall in sync. Think about it you’ll face the same issue the following day and most likely will be over it sooner than later. I’m a firm believer that fashion has NO limit. Wear what you want and make sure you’re feeling confident in your choice.
How often do you go in your closet and start pairing outfits together? Pair a dressy top with mom jeans and sneakers. Joggers with heels or try on a top with at least 3 different jean washes. Maybe even sit down in front of your closet and take a glance. Find the main item you would reach for first and think about what you would add on after. Remember that you don’t need to push the envelope. You wouldn’t believe what a basic bodysuit, mom jeans and kimono can do. Those are the styles that you can transition from day to night with a small outfit adjustment. Effortless outfits will have you looking all that and well put together. Have you tried a vibrant color top or animal print? Make sure you’re asking yourself if it’s not your style or YOU THINK you wouldn’t look good. Sis you cant hold yourself back from greatness. I mean hello do you really want me to say it again? YOLO! Don’t forget about your jewelry and you don’t need the most extravagant pieces of jewelry. If you’re starting out or looking to expand I would highly recommend Bella Rose Boutique. They’re a boutique that I’d consider a one stop shop for budget friendly and quality items like jewelry. I’d like to think of jewelry in comparison to false eyelashes or mascara. Your makeup doesn’t look complete until you add it. Start small or go big with a necklace, statement earrings or a bracelet. You wouldn’t believe what a touch of jewelry can do to an outfit. As always your confidence makes an outfit not the other way around. Tomorrow I will take you through my process of styling an outfit.
